Part eight.18 - Gas Holes.

Gas is expensive. Not so good for the average consumer, but great for the oil companies, how good? So good that $10.9 Billion in quarterly profits is just not good enough. Of course the actual bad news is not the profits, but the decrease in production. Which of course leads to less oil at higher prices and more profit. Unfortunately the only real way to lower gas prices is to decrease gas consumption faster than the 2.5 billion Chinese and Indian peoples can raise their consumption. Not likely? Well you could always apply for credit card that gives 5% back on gas. That works out to what the some politicians want to do with the summer gas tax holiday without blowing a bigger hole in the budget deficit.
